Food Truck

This week we started planning out what the rest of this year and the years to come will look like. I'd really like some input because I’m a big idea person. Sometimes that doesn't turn out the way I thought it would, so I'm going to lay it all out there. I really hope my new friends on the internet have some comments for me this week. My plan has always been to open a food truck and buy an RV to set up in a way that I'm able to travel as much as possible also have a way of I'm making money so that I can travel. This weekend, I’m putting together a business plan and looking at getting funding from somewhere. I've been doing research on developing the truck itself and it's more expensive than I had originally anticipated.

My idea is to call the little duckie. The first menu idea is wraps and sandwiches. I think it’ll be a play on what ducks eat. They love lettuce and meat and eggs, so if I want to keep it on a duck theme that could work. The second menu idea is like ballpark sliders and fried food but made with healthier ingredients so that you can still have the indulgent food you want without feeling guilty. The third idea and obviously my family's favorite is a taco truck where you get authentic Latin cuisine from the truck down the street.

My research says the sooner I can get the menu down the easier it will be to make the kitchen layout and finish the business plan needed for a loan or grant. However, choosing one avenue is proving harder than I thought, but I think I’d like to take y’all along for the journey. As the week has gone on, I’ve decided with the help of my husband we’re going to go with menu option one. The next step will be to get and LLC, business license, and getting a patent on the business side and menu selection and pricing on the food side of things.
