Sliders

Getting away for the weekend is always fun especially when you go with your husband/best friend. Alex loves traveling as much or more than I do so we try to go once every few months to a new place to relax unwind and unplug. Last weekend was that for us. We typically go back to DC since it's like 3 hours. We went to our favorite restaurant where I got my inspiration for this week's recipe. We're talking about slides this week.

Generally, sliders are more of an appetizer or on that part of the menu, but I like to have them as a meal. If the restaurant is freshly made ingredient restaurant, they should be simply taking the regular size burger or two of them depending on how many sliders are offered and make them like smash burgers. Smash burgers are called that because they are taken from a fresh ground beef product and smashed during the cooking process.

This one is short sweet and to the point so let me tell you how I season my burgers and make a sauce for them. I season the burgers with country bobs seasoning salt and take a ball of ground beef like an inch to inch and a half in diameter and smash onto my grittle. I air fry a handful of fries and make a franks hot sauce and ranch sauce and use slider buns that I toast on the griddle. Grab your favorite cheese and build your burger with whatever condiments you want and enjoy.
