Honeymoon Burgers

This week is another weird blog because I haven’t worked or cooked or done anything normal at all. We had our wedding on Saturday and have been on our honeymoon since then. The sitting down and just doing nothing used to drive me crazy. In fact, the one time I went on a vacation I think I walked around the entire time trying to find something to do. This time is different sitting here cuddling with the guy I just married is awesome. Getting to just relax has been amazing.

The first night were here we had bacon cheeseburgers and while we differ in the way we like the temperature (pinkness) of the meat we agreed it was amazing. Alex likes his burgers well done but I like my burgers medium. He says he doesn’t like the blood when I get a burger. He doesn’t know its not blood but well keep that to us. It’s myoglobin. Myoglobin is what gives steak or hamburgers their color.

 The burger had smokey BBQ sauce cheddar cheese and the option for lettuce tomato onions and pickles so of course I added them. The fries are crispy and delicious. The burger itself was cooked well-meaning that both our burgers were juicy and tender.

When I get home, I have a new recipe I want to try, I saw a show while we were here that had a juicy lucy. It’s a burger that the cheese is inside the meat. I want to try it with bacon and cheese to see it still works. Ill keep yall updated to see how it works.
