Seafood Boil

So, this is last week’s blog that didn’t get published. We ran into like four extra doctor’s appointment, a random weekend away, and a crazy work schedule. I hate for things to slip through the cracks but since this wasn’t life and death well let’s say I just remembered I didn’t post until I opened it and saw I didn’t. So, here’s the long-awaited low country boil/lobster boil.

This week is crazy as usual with my husband's birthday and his appointments so I'm legit writing this week’s blog in the car at work, waiting for my start time. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it yet but he's allergic to seafood so we stay away from it normally, but Sams club hall came through with some bomb lobster tail. So, I made a seafood boil for my parents and me.

I'm not going to lie and tell you I went and blended spices and made it base by hand, I went to the store and got the crab boil in a bag. I added an onion, 2 lemons and 3 garlic cloves and boiled for 10 minutes to get a good base to season the food. Add the potatoes first since they cook the longest. Then after that it depends on what you’re cooking as to what you add next. The lobster cooks for 10 mins, crab legs and corn cooks for about 5 minutes, and the shrimp and sausage I cooked for about 3 minutes.

I'm sorry this one is so short. I really need to start writing a little a day, so it doesn't sneak up on me. As always if you have any questions, comments, or concerns contact me via email or comment below.

Be blessed!
